About these terms
Clearcut Studio (getclearcutstudio.com) is operated by LimeWorks Digital Inc., a company registered in Ontario, Canada (“LimeWorks Digital”, “we”, “us”). These terms form an agreement between you and LimeWorks Digital Inc. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Clearcut Studio. If you are under 18, you may use it only with permission from a parent or guardian, and a parent or guardian must make any purchase.
Using the service
You may use Clearcut Studio only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for the images you select, the results you create, and making sure you have all necessary rights and permissions to use them.
Prohibited use
- Do not process unlawful, abusive, exploitative or privacy-invasive material.
- Do not infringe copyright, trademark, publicity or other rights.
- Do not interfere with security, misuse the service, reverse engineer protected parts of it, or attempt unauthorized access.
- Do not use results to deceive, impersonate, defraud or cause harm.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you think your account has been used without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Free and paid plans
The Free plan removes the background from one image at a time. Clearcut Pro is a recurring monthly subscription that adds multi-image processing, batch backgrounds, ZIP downloads and maximum-detail processing. While it is active, there is no image quota for browser processing, which runs on your device, so speed and practical batch size depend on your device. Pro also includes Best hair, an optional cloud-processing mode for curly and frizzy hair, for up to 25 images a day. Best hair runs only after you agree to cloud processing. The price, billing period and any applicable taxes are shown before you subscribe. Plan features and daily limits may change as the service develops.
Billing, cancellation and refunds
AI results
Background-removal results are produced automatically and may contain mistakes, missing details, rough edges or unwanted fragments. Review every result before publishing, selling, printing or using it professionally.
Ownership
You keep your rights in images you lawfully process and in the results you create. Clearcut Studio, including its software, design, branding and text, belongs to LimeWorks Digital Inc. and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, limit or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal, technical or business reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every browser and device.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, LimeWorks Digital Inc. makes no warranties beyond those stated in these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LimeWorks Digital Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or lost-profit damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close accounts for a serious breach of these terms or when needed to protect users, the service or legal rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
Changes to these terms of use
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If you keep using Clearcut Studio after a change, the updated terms apply.
